The responsibilities for Miss
Rodeo New Mexico are listed in the contract as follows:
Attend the following events as part of her duties (If they do not
conflict with another major event).
- The Miss Rodeo America Pageant in Las Vegas, NV and the Rodeo Royalty
Seminar in the same year as her selection – attend all “Lady
in Waiting” events, in early December.
- Accept Memorial at NM Legislatures, as arranged by State
Representatives & Senators.
- The Turquoise Circuit finals in Las Cruces, NM, in November.
- The National Western Livestock Show & Rodeo
in Denver, CO, in January.
- The Dodge National Circuit Finals in Pocatello,
ID (if invited), in March.
- The Miss Rodeo Arizona Pageant in Payson,
AZ, in May.
- The Miss Rodeo NM Pageant, and Pioneer Days Rodeo in Clovis,
NM, in June.
- Rodeo De Santa Fe, in Santa Fe, NM, in July.
- The Pro Rodeo Hall of
Fame Induction & Pikes Peak Rodeo in Colorado
Springs, CO, in July.
- The Cheyenne Rodeo in Cheyenne, WY, in July.
- The Lea County Fair & Rodeo
in Lovington, NM, in August.
- The New Mexico State Fair/Expo and Rodeo
in Albuquerque, NM in September.
It is also recommended that she try to attend the following:

All PRCA rodeos in New Mexico that do not conflict with
a major event.

All PRCA rodeos in Arizona that do not conflict with
a major event.

San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo, in February.

The Miss Rodeo Nebraska Pageant in North Platte, NE,
in June.

The Miss Oklahoma Rodeo Pageant in Guymon, OK, May

Dallas Market, in August.

Other opportunities as they become available.
Having won the title, all other Category Winners agree to abide by the Expectation Statement, which was included in the Miss Rodeo New Mexico Pageant Entry form Packet. They must fulfill their duties to the best of their ability during the coming 12 months. They must also attend the MRNMP next year to complete their reign.
